How to enter
Absolutely anyone over the age of 18 can enter this competition. Just keep an eye on the current theme and send us your entries.
Send us up to 2 pictures per theme to submit@photoashes.com. Please include:
- The title of the theme in the subject line of your message.
- Your name. (as you want it published if you win)
- The title of each photograph.
Files should be sent as JPEGs. They should not be larger than 1,000 pixels across in their maximum dimension or 350 kilobytes in size.
Conditions of entry:
1) All entries must be your own work
2) Photographs with text added to the image will not be accepted (date stamps automatically added by the camera will be accepted).
3) Prints will not be considered. Any prints that are submitted will not be returned.
4) It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that all the necessary permissions are obtained from any people featured in their photograph(s).
5) All published entries will be open to comments and ratings by the general public. Photoashes.com is not responsible for the content of comments or ratings made on the site.
6) The overall winner of each theme will be announced on the closing date of the following theme. The winner will be entitled to choose the next theme for 72 hours after The Photography Ashes sends a communication asking the winner to choose the next theme, failing which Photoashes.com will choose a theme on the winner's behalf.
7) Photoashes.com reserves the right to veto any chosen theme it deems as inappropriate, unfair or overly restrictive on other entrants.
8) Photoashes.com reserves the right not to publish any material that it deems as inappropriate.
9) Copyright will remain at all times with the creator of the photograph. By sending or uploading a photograph to photoashes.com, the creator is granting full license to photoashes.com to display the photograph publically on the internet. The creator may ask photoashes.com to remove their photograph at any time.
